We have a lovely group of sixth grade band students this year. All students are continuing to grow musically. We are working on musicianship skills in the Essential Elements 2000 book 1. Exercises are assigned daily, and students should be practicing at least 15 minutes a day.
Currently, we have selected 1 piece of music for the Winter program to be held Dec. 4. Blue Christmas is a popular Christmas tune. We are working on another piece from the red song book. Students seem to be enjoying the music.
